As long as you plug the meter and don’t do anything illegal or dangerous you shouldn’t catch any flak from the police. In the hopefully rare case that you do, please tell them that we have a thumbs up from Doug Maday at Public Works Traffic & Parking Services.

That’s what we were told by Eugene’s Public Works department, but we decided to go ahead and buy the permits for the day, anyway.
